how to handle used oil

i want asking about handle used oil ( engine, ATF ) because it's harmful for envorinment.in my place used oil sell to person who want to take it

or burn it in a burner

If you are in United States, please bring your used engine oil or ATF to any auto parts store - Advance Autoparts, Pep Boys, Auto Zone etc. They have huge 200 gallons barrels in the back of store where you can dispose of your used oil and then it will be recycled or reused after processing at recycling plant.

Here, in the USA, I have a dump that accepts used oil for free. I think the auto parts stores, and most dealerships accept it as well.

If you're in the US, any automotive shop that does oil changes will take used oil. They don't typically take oil contaminated with water/coolant.
